Current hours are 9.00 a.m. until 6.00 p.m. while we ascertain passenger demand for longer operating times. Sunday opening is delayed until midday for routine maintenance and inspection.

Between High Town & Low Town
On board
The Cliff Railway is the most direct route between Low Town and High Town, sparing a climb of more than two hundred steps. Two counterbalanced cars work the incline, each carrying up to eighteen passengers.

Two ends, one railway
The railway links High Town — the castle, the church and the High Street — with Low Town, the river and the bridge below. Board at either station; the fare is the same.

Bridgnorth WV16 4AH, Shropshire. The Top Station sits on Castle Terrace in High Town; the Bottom Station is on Castle Hill Walk beside the river in Low Town.
